About the centre

We are open from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. We operate 52 weeks per year, excluding public holidays.

We cater to children aged 3 to 6 years. Our programs are specifically designed for this age group, focusing on the developmental needs of preschoolers and children preparing for school.

We believe in learning through play. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, stimulating, and fun, allowing children to explore, discover, and develop a lifelong love of learning. We incorporate both structured activities and free play to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.

All our educators are qualified and experienced in early childhood education. They hold tertiary qualifications and participate in ongoing professional development to stay up to date with the latest research and best practices.

On their first day, please bring a change of clothes, a hat, a water bottle, any comfort items like a blanket or teddy. We provide meals, nappies, and sunscreen. Please label all your child’s belongings clearly.

Yes, we provide nutritious and balanced meals and snacks throughout the day. Our menus are designed by a nutritionist and cater to all dietary requirements and allergies. Please inform us of any specific dietary needs your child may have.

Yes, we have basement parking available on site. Alternatively, there is street parking available.

You can enrol your child by filling out an online enrolment form on our website, contacting us to request an enrolment pack, or scheduling a visit to the centre. We encourage you to visit our centre and meet our team before enrolling.

Childcare Subsidies

The CCS helps families with the cost of approved childcare. It’s paid directly to the childcare centre, reducing the fees you pay. The amount of CCS you receive depends on your family’s income, your activity level (work, study, etc.), and the type of childcare service you use.

Eligibility for the CCS depends on several factors, including your family’s combined income, your activity level (through work, study, or volunteering), your child’s age, and your residency status. The best way to determine your eligibility is to check the Services Australia website or contact Centrelink directly.

You can apply for the CCS online through myGov. You’ll need to create a myGov account (if you don’t already have one), link it to Centrelink, and then complete the online application form. Be prepared to provide supporting documentation.

The Activity Test assesses your participation in work, study, training, or other recognised activities. The more hours you participate in these activities, the more hours of subsidised care you may be eligible for. Both parents in a couple must usually meet the activity test requirements.

The amount of CCS you receive is calculated based on your family’s income, your activity level, and the number of children you have in care. It’s a percentage reduction of your childcare fees. The exact percentage varies, and it’s best to use the online estimators or contact Centrelink for personalised information. We can also provide an estimate of your out-of-pocket expenses at Bright Blocks.

Subsidy rates and eligibility criteria can be reviewed and adjusted by the government periodically. It’s important to stay updated by checking the Services Australia website for any changes.

You must inform Centrelink immediately if your circumstances change. Changes in income or activity levels can affect your CCS entitlement. Failing to notify Centrelink can result in overpayments that you may have to repay.

Yes, you can claim CCS for multiple children. Families with more than one child may be eligible for a higher subsidy rate for their younger children. Again, check the Services Australia website for the most up-to-date information on multiple child subsidies.
